Ezio Damolin

Ezio Damolin ( born December 25, 1944 in Moena ) is a former Italian ski jumpers and Nordic combined.

1964 Damolin won the silver medal in the Nordic combined at the Italian Championships and achieved his first success. Shortly thereafter, he started in the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 in Innsbruck, reaching there in the Nordic combined individual the 8th Place. From 1965 to 1967 he won the Italian championship in the combination. In the Four Hills Tournament 1966/67, he started for the first time in two jumping, but could not reach the top places. In 1968 he won the Italian championship in ski jumping gold and silver in the combination. At the Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble in 1968, he was fifth in the combination and missed so only just a medal. In 1969, he won the Italian championship in the combination again. In ski jumping, he won the bronze medal behind Albino Bazzana and Mario Cecon. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1970, he finished fifth in the individual competition of the combination. In 1972 he again won gold in the combined and bronze in ski jumping at the Italian Championships. In 1974 he again won gold in ski jumping. At the Olympic Winter Games Sapporo in 1972 he stepped up to the combination in which he was in the single 16 at the first time in ski jumping. There he reached the normal hill 55th position. In 1976 he won the silver medal at the Italian championships behind Francesco Giacomelli his last coin.
