F.C. Civics Windhoek

The Civics FC ( often only Civics ) is a football club based in Windhoek in Namibia.

The Civics play in the Namibia Premier League, the top division in Namibian football. Your home stadium is Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura Windhoek district.

History

The club was founded in 1983 under the name " Bethlehem Boys". Later the name was changed, first to " The Mighty Civilians " and finally in " Civics FC". For a long time the development of the club was hampered by financial problems. In 2000, the bush school Namibia declared willing to support the club. Thus, the club was reorganized and made ​​competitive. Club president since then has been born in Flensburg Scharnowski Helmuth, who was also coach to August 13, 2010. By mid-August Ali Akan was the coach before Guruseb Christie took office. Helmuth Scharnowski is still CEO and head of the football department.

Football Academy
