Fabasoft eGov-Suite
Fabasoft eGov- Suite is a standard software for electronic files and file processing in public administration. It is used as software for e -Government predominantly in German-speaking countries.
Development and importance
Fabasoft eGov- Suite has been developed by Linz companies Fabasoft. Records, business items and documents are recorded without exception from this software over the entire period of their relevance (Document Lifecycle Management). Thus can take place inter-administrative cooperation. Several public sector organizations have repeatedly certified e -government solution in use. So Fabasoft eGov- Suite meets the requirements and standards of e-government in the respective countries. These are available in Austria ELAK in Germany DOMEA and GEVER in Switzerland. Regardless of the platform, an operation on a Windows and open source environment is possible. Based on a service-oriented architecture provides Fabasoft eGov- Suite Web service.

Public Administration
The requirements for compliance with new legislation in the context of e -government strategy in Austria and the implementation of the EU Services Directive had to be created. These specifications include dual delivery or the official signature, which are a legal requirement in Austria since January 1, 2010. These were filled with the Fabasoft eGov- Suite Version 7.0.
In Austria, use the Federal Chancellery (ELAK the binding), all federal ministries except the Ministry of Defence and Sports and the cities of Vienna, Linz and Salzburg Fabasoft eGov- Suite Other Austrian users are the provinces of Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria and Vorarlberg.
From the federal authorities in Germany using the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the Federal Railway Authority, the Federal Aviation Agency, the Federal Insurance Office, Federal Office for Goods Transport, the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources and the Federal Office for Radiation Protection Fabasoft eGov- Suite. The Free State of Bavaria, Lower Saxony, the state parliament of Baden- Württemberg, the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Consumer Protection, Rhineland -Palatinate use the Fabasoft eGov- Suite on the part of state authorities. In the local area there are the cities of Munich, Nuremberg, Hamburg (Hamburg Port Authority ), Bad Homburg, Plauen and the district of Upper Bavaria.
In Switzerland, the Department of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and Police, the Department of Foreign Affairs were in addition to the Federal Chancellery, also equipped the Federal Office for Migration and the Federal Office for the Environment with Fabasoft eGov- Suite, as well as the Canton of Thurgau.
