Fanta Régina Nacro

Fanta Régina Nacro ( born September 4, 1962 in Tenkodogo, Upper Volta, now Burkina Faso ) is a film director from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

She completed her training at the Institute Africain d' Etudes Cinématographique ( INAFEC ) and the University of Ouagadougou.

With the short film Bintou Nacro was awarded at the Festival of Cannes in 2001 with the Kodak Short Film Award and at FESPACO 2001 for the best short film. Her first feature film La Nuit de la vérité was awarded Screenwriter at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia- San Sebastián in the Best New category.
