Faruk Hujdurović

Faruk Hujdurović ( born May 14, 1970 in Bijeljina, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Bosnian football player.

Club career

Hujdurović played in his youth for FK Hajduk Kula, OFK Belgrade and Radnik Bijeljina. Later he joined the Slovenian club audience Celje. In January 1998 Hujdurović moved to Austria to SV Ried. With the Upper Austrians the defender won the OFB Cup in the 1997/98 season.

In September 2000, he joined the then German Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus. For the Lusatian graduated Hujdurović 60 Bundesliga and five second-division games. His only goal for Cottbus was 1-0 in a 4-2 victory over Hamburger SV on Matchday 33 of the 2000/01 season.

In the summer of 2004 he changed to FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the league. In the first season he won the championship with the club in the Oberliga West and thus rose to the Regionalliga. In the Regionalliga 2005/06 season he played 17 games for the Thuringian. After " repeated, gross unsporting conduct " during the final training session before the last first round game of the season 2005/ 06 of the Bosnians was dropped from the squad.

Then he moved into the winter break on 1 FC Eschborn in the Regionalliga Süd. He remained there only until the end of the season and moved in summer 2006 to Oberliga VFC Plauen.

Two years later he moved on to VfB 09 Pössneck, where he played until July 2010 and ended his playing career.

Coaching career

Since the season 2010/11 Hujdurović is coach of VfB 09 Pössneck.

National

Faruk Hujdurović played between 1999 and 2002 twelve times for the Bosnian national team.
