Fayetteville Patriots

The Fayetteville Patriots are a former basketball team of the NBA Development League, which was located in Fayetteville (North Carolina).

History

In 2001, the Patriots one of the eight founding teams in the NBDL. The Patriots were allocated by the NBA teams Charlotte Bobcats, Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks player.

In the 2002/03 season, the team could reach the NBDL Finals but lost to the Mobile Revelers 2-1. This season, Devin Brown the NBDL was elected Most Valuable Player.

On 2 May 2006, the NBA D -League decided to have no more team compete in Fayetteville to explore other locations.
