FC Dila Gori

The FC Dila Gori (Georgian დილა გორი ) is a Georgian football club based in Gori and plays in the top division of Georgia, Umaghlessi league. The club colors are blue and white.

General

The club was founded in 1949. In the Soviet Union played Dila Gori 1967, 1969, 1974 and 1986 in the third division; a rise in higher leagues did not succeed. After the independence of Georgia Dila Gori belonged to 2001 and for the immediate resurgence again in 2008 the first division of Georgia. This was followed by one year each in the second, third, and again the second game class. 2011 abolished the FC Dila Gori promotion to the first division - a year later they were standing in one place, which entitled them to participate in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. They succeeded equal a big surprise when they could eliminate Aarhus GF. In the 2012/13 season the club finished in second place and took therefore again from the 2nd round of qualifying for the Europa League 2013/14 part. In rounds 2 and 3, the favorites Aalborg BK and Hajduk Split were defeated in the play-offs difference Dila Gori against Rapid Vienna.

The home ground of the association is the Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium, which offers 8300 spectators.
