Felix von Manteuffel

Felix von Manteuffel ( born May 6, 1945 in Bavarian Zell, actually Friedrich Karl von Manteuffel - Szoege ) is a German actor Baltic origin.

Life and work

Manteuffel attended from 1967 to 1970, the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich. Even during the training he gave in 1969 at the Munich Kammerspielen his debut as a second pen in Bertolt Brecht The Exception and the Rule. From 1970 to 1972 he was engaged at the Theater Ulm. His roles included Ferdinand in there the Cabal and Love, and the title character in Danton's Death.

From 1972 to 1984 he was a member of the ensemble of the Munich Studio Theater. Here he was a busy performer who embodied soft, pampered figures in the rule. His roles included Spitta in Rats (1972 ), Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening (1976 ), Baron Night Asylum (1976 ), Walter Black in Lulu (1977 /78), Trepljow in The Seagull (1978), Weather by the beam in Cathy of Heilbronn (1979 /80), Camille in Danton's Death (1980 ), Pylades in Iphigenia in Tauris (1981 ), Leonhard in Mary Magdalene (1981 ), Touchstone in As You Like It (1982) and the title role in Carl Sternheim The Snob (1983).

He has also appeared in several radio plays, including 1981/82 in the German version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

From 1984 to 2004 worked von Manteuffel freelance. His guest roles included Philip the Good in The Maid of Orléans (1985 at the Schauspielhaus Köln), Tellheim in Minna von Barn-helm ( 1984/85 at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg), Malthus in Tancred Dorst's The Shadow Line (1995 at the Bavarian State Theatre ) and Diderot in Eric- Emmanuel Schmitt's free spirit ( 1997).

At the same time he intensified his work in film and television, and appeared among others in several episodes of the crime series Tatort on. In the two-parter in the shadow of power he embodied Walter Scheel.

Since 2004, Felix von Manteuffel, who in 1976 was awarded the Grimme Award, engaged in acting Frankfurt. Since 1995 he has been married to actress Leslie Malton.
