Feria de Agosto

The Feria de Agosto will be the biggest summer festival of the Costa del Sol and has 500 - celebrated throughout the Mediterranean - statement by the people of Malaga. Expiration

Following ( " Malaguetta " about 30 minutes each on the port and on the beach) is the opening fireworks display. Then follow concerts until the early morning.

On Saturday, the actual Feria beginning, is about 11 clock a procession starting from the Town Hall instead, which ends about 13 clock. Now the Feria del dia begins in the city center. Up to 500 000 people are on the streets, eating, drinking, dancing, concerts or see flamenco performances.

Feria Del Dia

The entire city is filled with people who can carnival -like eating at many of the stands and drink. On stage there is live music and performances by folk groups (eg the verdial from the mountains of Malaga ). In some places, such as the Plaza Mitjiana or the Plaza de la constitucion there is a kind of open-air disco. The typical style of music is this current Spanish pop and rumba Flamenca. In other places there are flamenco shows as well as many people who Flamenco ( Sevillanas especially ) dancing in the streets.

Feria de la Noche

Just outside the center is the Recinto Ferial (also called Real ). During the Feria almost every bus drives past here. Especially the line 11, but also many other run every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day! The Real is divided into two areas, which are separated by a middle place: An area has the typical fairground attractions, like the Ferris wheel, shooting galleries, roller coaster etc. The other area consists of approximately 150 Casetas. These stalls are basically something like marquees without a roof. One can in many daytime and evening eat very well and running at night there is usually a disco and party mode. Some are so popular that you at least 1 clock at night must be present for an hour to find the inlet. The Casetas are either operated by associations ( the Peñas ) or of clubs / restaurants in the city. At night, up to 700,000 people gather on the weekends on the real, usually very peaceful, with no fights or binge drinking. Also many children are here until late into the night on the road. On the last day of the Feria ends with a fireworks here.
