Fernandes Guitars

Fernandes Guitars is a Japanese manufacturer of guitars and basses.

History

The company was founded in 1969 and initially built flamenco guitars. In the following years, the company expanded its product range with electric guitars, bass guitars and guitar amps. In the 70 years, Fernandes has developed into a leading Japanese quality supplier for Fender copies. Under the name Burny Gibson copies are also available, for example, Steve Hackett plays. Later own guitar models have been developed.

Known is the Fernandes Sustainer, a system that can swing through a controlled electrical feedback of any length, the guitar strings. The system was also installed in many other guitars.
