Fernando Cavenaghi

Fernando Ezequiel Cavenaghi ( born September 21, 1983 in O'Brien ) is an Argentine footballer who is currently in the employ of CF Pachuca.

Career

Cavenaghis career as a professional began in the 2000/ 01 season, when he came to five appearances for River Plate Buenos Aires, scoring one goal. In the following years he has been hailed as a promising striker talent in Argentina. How many South Americans also wanted Cavenaghi to Europe to earn there with the football money, and so in 2004 he joined the Russian champions Spartak Moscow. For the Russians allegedly paid 8.6 million euros to the Argentines. For Spartak, he scored twelve goals in 46 missions. Since January 2007 Cavenaghi plays for the French first division club Girondins Bordeaux. So far he was able to celebrate the championship, a League Cup victory and the runner-up title. From August 2010 to January 2011 Cavenaghi was on loan from Spanish club RCD Mallorca.

Even after returning to Bordeaux he could not sit down and was awarded in January 2011 for half a year to the Brazilian first division club SC Internacional. In summer 2011, he moved free transfer to CA River Plate.

In summer 2012 he moved to FC Villarreal. After a good start and two goals in the first game he made it in the remaining games of the season, only two more hits and also had to take frequent on the bench.
