The Ligue 1 2007 /08 was the 70th season of the French Ligue 1 was launched on August 4, 2007 and ended on 17 May 2008.
Champion for the seventh time in a row Lyon before Girondins Bordeaux. The title was only decided on the final day, when 3-1 won against Auxerre Lyon.
Descent had to RC Lens and the two climbers Racing Strasbourg and FC Metz.

Karim Benzema from Lyon champion was voted best player of the season, other candidates for this award were Mamadou Niang, his teammate Jeremy Toulalan and Wendel. The price of the best young player received Hatem Ben Arfa, also worked at Lyon. The other nominees for this award were Yohan Cabaye, Miralem Pjanić and Mevlut Erdinç.
In the team's season seven players were selected by the third-placed Olympique Marseille. As a coach Laurent Blanc has been selected by the vice champion Bordeaux.
