2007–08 Premier League

The Premier League 2007 /08 is the 16th season of the English Premier League, while the 109th Erstligasaison in English football. It started on 11 August 2007 and ended on May 11, 2008. Defending champion Manchester United was after this club had won in the previous season 's ninth Premiership title and the total of 16 English champions trophy. The first goal of the season 2007/ 08 scored by Michael Chopra promoted Sunderland AFC with his winning goal to make it 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur in the 94th minutes.

By a 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic Manchester United won the English league on the final day. After a 2-2 draw in the 32 season match against FC Fulham Derby County was established as the first relegated from the Premier League began on March 29, 2008.   • Sven -Goran Eriksson is the new manager of Manchester City after the dismissal of Stuart Pearce. ( 6 July 2007)
  • José Mourinho leaves Chelsea in the " mutual agreement " with the club's management and is succeeded by Avram Grant, who takes over the team lead along with Steve Clarke. (20 September 2007)

  • After only one win in ten league matches Martin Jol resigns as coach of Tottenham Hotspur.
