1935–36 Football League

The Football League First Division in 1935/36 was the 44th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. The AFC Sunderland gained prominence with eight points on the pursuers Derby County and Huddersfield Town now his sixth English championship. Both promoted FC Brentford and Bolton Wanderers were able to get the class; instead had to play the course in the Second Division Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers. Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers were also the last clubs, where League after continuous membership in the English top flight suffered as founding members of the Football for the first time the descent. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two newly promoted second division Manchester United and Charlton Athletic.

A total of 526 players were used, with Preston North End, the least and the Blackburn Rovers with 31 mustered 17 most players in league games. 122 newcomers were offset by 127 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1935/36 season.
