Juninho Pernambucano

Juninho Pernambucano Antônio Augusto Ribeiro Reis Júnior actually, ( born January 30, 1975 in Recife ) is a retired Brazilian footballer who since August 17, 2007 he also holds French citizenship.

Career

Clubs

Juninho began his career in 1991 with his hometown club, Sport Club do Recife. Then he played from 1995 to 2001 with CR Vasco da Gama.

From 2001 he worked in France for Olympique Lyon. There, he won the French championship seven times. Despite a valid contract he was allowed to leave the club free transfer because of its great merits for the French top club. In his last game against Caen he scored his 100th goal for Lyon in total.

Juninho then moved to Qatari club Al - Gharafa, where he received a two-year contract.
