Fernando Vázquez

Fernando Vázquez Pena ( born October 24, 1954 in Castrofeito, Galicia ) is a Spanish football coach, who has trained many Spanish club teams. Currently he trains the Galician football selection.

Coaching career ( club )

The beginnings

Fernando Vázquez originally worked as an English teacher in Lalin. Through school sport he first came into contact with the football intense, causing him to his first club as a coach, the Tercera División - Club CD Lalin led. In his first season as coach, he led the Galician promotion to Segunda División B. After the three years there we went back to the fourth division, but 1990/1991 succeeded Vázquez and his team to rise again.

Segunda División B

In the summer of 1991, Fernando Vázquez left his club, despite the rise and went to the fourth division and tradition Racing Ferrol. With Ferrol succeeded in 1991/1992 in his first season promotion to the 2B. There, he spent two more years with his team before joining for the season 1994/1995 to league rivals CD Lugo. Professional football

In summer 1995, Fernando Vázquez took over the Spanish side SD Compostela. Celta Vigo

After three downs from the first League in Streaks Fernando Vázquez ventured into his Galician homeland with the first division relegated Celta Vigo a fresh start.
