Filipe La Féria

Luís Filipe La Feria de Valente e Orta ( born May 17, 1945 in Aldeia Nova de São Bento ) is a Portuguese theater director and screenwriter.

Life

La Feria comes from a wealthy, traditional landowners family of Alentejo. After first on parts from 1961, he was from 1963 actor of the ensemble of Amélia Rey Colaço at Lisbon Teatro Nacional D. Reception

Filipe La Feria is considered an innovator of the broad-based stage productions in Portugal, and also as an innovator, which follows on from the earlier popular Revue Lisbon. He was honored at the award ceremony of the Globo de Ouro in 2001 as a theater personality of the year.

1992 awarded him President Mário Soares the Order of the Infante Dom Henrique in Komtursrang ( Portuguese: Comendador ). In 2006, he received the Portuguese Order of Merit in Großkomtursrang ( Portuguese: Grande- Oficial ) by President Jorge Sampaio.

2010 recorded from the Portuguese section of the International Gay and Lesbian Association ILGA La Feria, for his effective public staging of Poiret's La Cage Aux Folles ( Portuguese: A Gaiola dos Loucos ).
