Finkenbach (Bassum)

The Finke Bach is a 9.4 km long, right-sided or eastern tributary of the Hombach in the river system of the Weser. It flows entirely within the city of Bassum ( Diepholz, Lower Saxony, Germany ).
Course
The source of the Finke Bach is located between Neubruchhausen and Bassum ( center ). From there it flows north through Bramstedt, takes on the Bramstedter Beeke and flows south from the nucleus Nordwohlde in Hombach.
Conservation area
In the area of communities Heiligenrode, Driving Horst, Ristedt, Nordwohlde, Bramstedt, Stühren, Hollwedel, Klosterseelte and Kirchseelte since 1967 exists the protected landscape Hombach - Finke Bach Klosterbach. With a surface area of approx. 26.80 km ², it is intended to serve as a nature observation and recreation area.
