Fire in the Attic

Fire in the Attic was founded in October 2003 post- hardcore band from Bonn.

History

Its members were previously inter alia, represented in the bands FAStplant and Summer 's Last Regret. In May 2004 they released their first EP Decision & Action with five songs. The main success of the relatively young band's history include the performances opening for Billy Talent and Coheed and Cambria in 2004. Their first album Crush / Rebuild appeared in April 2005. Keeping with the new album release were, in 2005 support shows including for Taking Back Sunday, Hot Water Music, Millencolin, Finch and Boysetsfire and various festivals, including Rhine culture.

On 2 June 2006, the second album of Fire appeared in the Attic called I'll beat you, City!. Like the previous releases, it was released on the Duesseldorf-based label Redfield Records and distributed by Cargo Records.

The end of May / beginning of June 2006 accompanied the band Alexisonfire and Moneen Canadians on their Germany tour. In early November, the band played at the Taste- Of- Chaos tour in 2006 include Anti-Flag and Taking Back Sunday.

On 18 April 2008 the third album Cum Grano Salis appeared. Prior to the complete album of music magazine Visions was on 16 April at free of charge.

In August 2008, singer Ole Feltes left the band. His successor was a native of England Thomas Prescott, former keyboard player for the hardcore band KENAI.

In November 2010, the band had announced through their website to suspend all activities until at least July 2011. Due to the withdrawal of the singer Thomas Prescott, the band has disbanded but in fact in summer 2012.

Style

The band's sound is similar to what happens with similar bands, often mistakenly associated with emocore. In fact, their style combines rapid, harmonious and catchy post-hardcore with harder crying and very melodic vocals of singer Thomas Prescott.

In their style, the band is often compared to commercially successful bands like Thrice. In addition, more or less stronger alternative is to recognize rock or emocore influences.
