Fireball Ministry

Fireball Ministry is an American stoner metal band from Los Angeles.

The band describes itself as "The first church of rock n ' roll" ( engl. The first rock ' n 'roll church).

History

Singer and guitarist James A. Rota II and Emily J. Burton Gittaristin played music together since the early 90s. First they played in Cincinnati and later in New York. Eventually, they settled in Los Angeles, where in 1999 she founded the band Fireball Ministry along with bassist Guy Pinhas and drummer John Oreshnick.

In 1999, these four recorded their debut album, Ou Est La Rock? (Fr. Where is the Rock? ) and then went to Danzig, Unida and Nebula on tour. On the album Megadeth drummer Nick Menza, the former appeared as a guest musician with two songs.

Two years later, the band recorded the EP FMEP on together with the Fu Manchu bassist Brad Davis. The producer of the EP was Nick Raskulinecz, who had previously worked with Fu Manchu and Velvet Revolver. It was followed by a tour with Fu Manchu and Spirit Caravan, in which the group made ​​a good reputation as a live band. Both by this reputation, as well as an appearance on MTV, the record label Nuclear Blast USA on Fireball Ministry were attentive and took the band under contract.

2003, the band released their second album The Second Great Awakening, which was re- recorded with producer Nick Raskulinecz. It was turned to the song Flatline a video which was regularly seen on MTV's Headbangers Ball. The Skateboarder and Jackass actor Bam Margera investigated personally the song King and published it on his Viva La Bands compilation. There followed a period of intense touring with Dio, Anthrax, Motorhead and Andrew WK in the U.S. and Blue Öyster Cult, Uriah Heep and CKY in Europe.

In 2005, the band recorded the album Their Rock Is Not Our Rock On in the studio of Dave Grohl and published it on the new record label, Liquor And Poker Music.
