Fireside (band)

Fireside are a rock band from northern Sweden. They come from the hardcore scene, their music changed over the course of time, however, and took stylistic elements from different genres on ( and off the Rock ), where the sound of individual albums remain quite varied widely.

Band History

Were founded Fireside in Luleå, however, the band members soon moved to Stockholm. For their second album Do Not Tailgate from the year 1995, she won a Swedish Grammy in the category Rock. In the U.S., this album was subsequently released by Rick Rubin's American Recordings label. The following year, they were the first Swedish band ever, who participated in the Lollapaloozafestival.

While the first two albums were self produced (guitarist Pelle Gunnerfeldt has a private studio where he among other things already with the Hives and Last Days of April recorded ), took the fifth regular album Get Kalle Gustafsson shot Jerneholm by The Soundtrack Of Our Lives of.

Kristofer Åström has recorded several solo albums outside of Fireside. The music on it is frequently compared to that of Elliott Smith.
