FK Smederevo

The FK Smederevo is a football club from the Serbian town of Smederevo.

History

On May 6, 1924, the club as FK Sartid by the Association of Serbian shareholders of the steel industry ( Sartid ) was founded. 1949 changed its name to the club FK Smederevo. Over the following decades, the club changed its name more often. In 1992, the club was renamed back to its original name FK Sartid.

The greatest success of the club was winning the national cup in 2003 against Red Star Belgrade. The winning goal scored Marko Pantelic. The following year, the club changed its name to the present FK Smederevo.
