Action
Roy Sweeney and his still young son Arlis attract thieves by west Texas. One night a burglary goes awry, and Roy shoots a couple and their son.
30 years later Arlis leads a quiet life. He travels from village to village and services its machines. Along the way he meets Kay Davies, who is looking to break out of an unhappy marriage, who is traveling for a while with him. One day Arlis is visited by his father, and the past seems the two catch up.

The film is officially described as psycho-thriller, brought under this category, but the wrong idea. The story slowly built stands in a quiet way, the characters of the main characters and their Texan landscape corresponding way of life. The dramatic and almost fatalistic side of the film is built up gradually.
