Geography

Flessau is located southwest of Osterburg ( Altmark) and north-west of Stendal. The hilly area around Flessau is crossed by numerous ditches that drain north to the piping.

History

The early as the 9th century Slavic populated place Flessau appeared in 1230 for the first time on the occasion of the consecration of the church in a document on. The stone church was originally built as a fortified church.
