Krevese is a district of the town Osterburg ( Altmark) in the district of Stendal, in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

The village Krevese is about 5 km northwest of the town Osterburg ( Altmark). The hilly area around Krevese reached 73 m above sea level. NN pole core near the highest point in the northeastern Altmark. From here you can look across the table Wipe level in the Elbe up to about 20 km away Havelberger Cathedral. To the south and east the terrain falls to the piping, from west to Zehren ditch.

History

Krevese ( formerly: Crevese ) 956 was first mentioned. The village belonged to the local Benedictine monastery " Marienthal " which was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the Holy Anisius.

The dispute with the Benedictine monastery Dobbertin in Mecklenburg to the sand village provost Larz was released on September 21, 1249 in Robel favor Dobbertins.

According to the legend, " The haunted nuns in the monastery church to Crevese " went out the monastery in 1540; the last Domina was Catharina von Jeetze († 1569 ).

Until the 19th century the manor belonged to the family of Krevese Bismarck. 1819 became the property of the family von Jagow, which managed it until 1860 and then sold to the industrialist family Brückner calbe / Saale. Last squire was in 1939 childless deceased Joachim Brückner.

After expropriation, the mansion was used as SED Party School of the circle Osterburg and redesigned accordingly, later it took the Polytechnic High School Krevese, which had to close in 1993. The lands of the estate has been cultivated in GDR times of two agricultural production cooperatives, one worked in the plant, the other in the animal production.

In the vicinity of the television tower in a wooded area near Dequede was a pioneer summer camp in the 1950s.

After ten years of vacancy and decay, the mansion and the park are privately owned since 2003 and be revived with care. The manor house is now again a residential building and is used as a design studio as well as for cultural events.

Through a field amendment agreement, the municipal councils of the municipalities have Ballerstedt ( 24 November 2008 ), Düsedau ( on November 12, 2008 ), Erxleben ( 10 November 2008 ), Flessau ( 27 November 2008 ), Gladigau ( November 26, 2008), Mark King ( 25 November 2008 ), Krevese ( 12 November 2008 ), Meseberg ( 19 November 2008 ), Rossau ( 10 November 2008 ), Walsleben ( 10 November 2008 ) and the Hanseatic city Osterburg ( Altmark) decided ( on November 6, 2008 ) that their communities dissolved and a new unified community with the name Hanseatic town Osterburg (Altmark ) were combined. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 July 2009.

After implementation of the amended contract territory of the previously independent municipality Krevese Krevese, Dequede, pole core and Röthenberg are districts of the new Hanse town Osterburg ( Altmark). For the community, the village has flowed Constitution according to § § 86 et seq of the Municipal Code of Saxony- Anhalt is introduced. The recorded Krevese community and future districts Krevese, Dequede, pole core and Röthenberg be the village of the new Hanse town Osterburg ( Altmark). Coat of arms

The colors of the former municipality - derived from the colors of the shield split - are silver ( white) / blue.

It was desire and decision of the former municipality, to use symbols in the local coat of arms, which relate to the monastery and to the family of Bismarck. You can express yourself through the Romanesque pillar on the right side plate and through the Bismarckian shamrock on the left side plate. The tinctures are based on the Bismarckian colors blue - silver.

The coat of arms was designed in 2004 by Jörg Kommunalheraldiker Mantzsch and admitted to the approval process.

Flag

The flag is blue - white ( 1:1) striped ( cross- shape: strips horizontally extending, longitudinal shape: strip running vertically ) and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.

From Krevese lead country roads in the surrounding towns Osterburg ( Altmark), Arendsee and Seehausen ( Altmark). A few kilometers east of Krevese the federal highway 189 and the parallel railway line Stendal - Salzwedel runs (nearest station in Osterburg ).
