The Flinzbach at Kaikenried

The Flinzbach is a 6.4 km long river in eastern Bavaria, which opens at Grand Mill (municipality Geiersthal ) near Patersdorf in the Teisnach.

Often, the creek is also erroneously written or called Flint creek or Flinsbach.

Along the brook in the so-called Flinzbachtal run some walking and hiking trails such as the Pandur gate. Also can be near the pond find that arose from ancient quartz quarries.

The creek is a natural habitat for various insects and fish, which is only partially flanked by agricultural land. About 30% of the creek running in forest areas, a further 60 % along the forest boundaries, such as the so-called "Upper woods ", the " spell wood " and " Kühholzes ". The Flinzbach finally flows into the Teisnach, which in turn flows in black rain, then in the Danube River and eventually the Black Sea.
