Florence is a settlement on community- free area and the administrative seat of Florence County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. For statistical purposes, the place has been combined to form a census-designated place (CDP). In 2010, Florence had 592 inhabitants.

Geography

Florence is located in northeastern Wisconsin, on the south bank of the border with Michigan forming Brule River. This unites about 5 km north-east of the town with the Michigamme River to the opening into the 100 km southeast to Lake Michigan Menominee River. The Lake Superior, the largest of the five Great Lakes, located about 100 km north.

The geographical coordinates of Florence are 45 ° 55'20 " north latitude and 88 ° 15'06 " west longitude. The town is the center of the Town of Florence and covers an area of 4.62 km ².
