BW

The Fontas River is the right source river of the Fort Nelson River in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.

The Fontas River rises in northwestern Alberta near the border with British Columbia. He initially flows in a north- north-westerly direction and crosses the provincial border. He takes on the left tributary Kahntah River and turns in the lower reaches to the west. Finally he meets the coming from the south Sikanni Chief River and together with him the Fort Nelson River.
