Forevermore is a single from the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica and Ruurd Woltring. It was released on September 21, 2012 at the label Nuclear Blast.
Formation
Woltring explains the history of Forevermore: "When I wrote the song, he was still called Stairway to Heaven. Once I have a few songs by Van Canto listened (Water, Fire, Heaven, Earth and Hearted ) and also Our Farewell by Within Temptation. Then I came up with the following idea: "Maybe I should combine the music of these songs with my own lyrics. " The lyrics tell the story of a boy who meets an angel. She gives him the feeling that they belong together, even though their worlds are far apart, and so she wants to take him to heaven. But a devil tried to pull the boy down into his world, but he does not succeed, because of all the positive energy of the angels. "
