Simone Simons

Simone Simons (born 17 January 1985 in Hoensbroek, full name Simone Johanna Maria Simons) is a Dutch singer. She became known for the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica,. Your voice is mezzo soprano.

Life

When Simone was 10 years old, she got for a year flute lessons, jazz / pop singing lessons followed. At 15, she was recommended a CD by Nightwish, after which she decided to take classical singing lessons. End of 2002, she was a singer of Epica (then under the name Sahara Dust ).

A hallmark of their live performances is a fan which is frontally from the edge of the stage to them and to compensate sweating at the gig. However, the upward wind also affects their performance significantly.

On 10 January 2008 vermeldeten Epica on their website that Simone Simons of infection with multidrug-resistant staphylococci ( MRSA) and therefore suffer the most upcoming performances would have to be canceled. According to a further deterioration of health, the band decided to forego up to their full recovery completely on shows. She and her longtime significant other Oliver Palotai 2013 are parents of a son since October 2.
