Sons of Seasons

Sons of Seasons is a German symphonic metal band. It is the solo project of Kamelot keyboardist Oliver Palotai.

History

Sons of Seasons was founded in January 2007 by Oliver Palotai. Palotai was since 2001 a member of the touring band of Doro and belonged to the line-up of Blaze, the band of former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley since 2004. In the spring of 2007, two other former members of Blaze came with Daniel Schild (drums) and Luca Princiotta (guitar) in the band. With bassist Jürgen Steinmetz ( Silent Force, rock Ignition) and singer Tijs Vanneste ( Oceans of Sadness ), the band in the summer of 2007 was complete. Vanneste left the group shortly after.

Palotai learned on a Japan tour with Kamelot Henning Basse know of Metalium and hired him as the new singer. In autumn 2008, guitarist Princiotta left the band, prompting Palotai recorded the guitars for the debut album. Since February 2009, the guitarist Pepe Pierez is an integral part of the band. End of April 2009 the debut album "Gods of Vermin". Then are the Epica singer Simone Simons, Mark Jansen ( Epica ) and Tijs Vanneste to hear as a guest musician. The album was co-produced by Alexander Krull ( Atrocity ). In the fall of 2009, Sons of Seasons with Epica on a tour that took the band through Europe across.

In January 2011, Sons of Seasons announced their second studio album " Magnisphyricon " that on 1 April 2011 to appear. It will continue the style of the first album and present with Simone Simons again a guest singer. From 22 April to 11 May 2011, the band as the opening act for Kamelot and Evergrey on tour through Europe will be; immediately afterwards followed by a headlining tour with MaYaN by Germany and the Benelux countries ..
