Forks is a city on the western edge of the Olympic National Park in Washington state. The city lies near the Quileute Reservation. It was only founded on 28 August 1945 and has about 3,120 inhabitants (as of 2009) on an area of 8.1 square kilometers. It was given its name due to its location between the three rivers Sol Duc, Bogachiel and Calawah River.
