Region:

The Highway 6, usually referred to as Fort Resolution Highway, is a highway in the Canadian Northwest Territories.

It branches off from the Fort Smith Highway and runs along the shore of Great Slave Lake to Fort Resolution.

About 21 kilometers east of Fort Smith highways is Pine Point, which is located near a former lead and zinc mine. The community was one of the largest in the Northwest Territories, so that its inhabitants had very few reasons to go to Hay River, because in Pine Point was a dense range. The mine was closed in 1987 and 1988 left the last occupant Pine Point.
