Francesco Acquaviva

Francesco Acquaviva ( born October 4, 1665 in Naples, † January 9, 1725 ) was a Cardinal ( titular church of San Bartolomeo all'Isola ) of the Catholic Church.

Acquaviva was from the family of the Dukes of Atri. Among the Popes Innocent XI. , Alexander III. , Innocent XII. and Clement XI. He filled many offices of, among others, Titular Archbishop of Larissa in Thessaly and nuncio in Spain. The latter appointed him in 1706 to the Cardinal and Bishop of Sabina. His body is located in Rome, in the church of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere.
