Francesco Sozzi

Francesco Sozzi ( born October 26, 1732 in Palermo, † 1795 ) was an Italian painter of the late Baroque in Sicily.

Life

As the son and pupil of Olivio Sozzi and brother of Vito D' Anna Francesco Sozzi was a member of a thriving family business run by his father. He continued the style of the introduced by Olivio Sozzi to Palermo late Baroque, which connects the Roman classicism of Sebastiano Conca with the Rococo Corrado Giaquinto of.
