Francis Lagan

Francis Lagan ( born October 31, 1934 in Maghera ) is Emeritus Auxiliary Bishop of Derry.

Life

Francis Lagan received on 19 June 1960, and was ordained priest incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Derry. John Paul II appointed him on February 4, 1988 Auxiliary Bishop of Derry and Titular Bishop of Sidnacestre.

The Archbishop of Armagh, Cardinal Tomás Séamus Ó Fiaich, consecrated him on 20 March of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Gaetano Alibrandi, Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, and Kevin Edward Daly, Bishop of Derry.
