François Berléand
François Berléand [ ˌ fʀãs wa bɛʀleã ] ( born April 22, 1952 in Paris) is a French actor.
Life
François Berléand was a member of the Paris theater group Equipe du Splendid, which included Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte and Christian Clavier, among others. The group met in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Paris cafes and cabaret theaters, and was several times, mostly directed by Patrice Leconte to see in movies, such as in the film series Les Bronzés. Berléand appeared in small roles in the films Equipe du Splendid.
French director Pierre Jolivet brings Berléand often for his films before the camera. The collaboration began in 1986 with Jolivet's film Le complexe du kangourou and pulled up to the 2007 announced Irresistible ( Irresistible ). In 2000 Berléand received for his performance in the film Ma petite entreprise Jolivet's the César for Best Supporting Actor. Here he plays a fraudulent insurance employees. Louis Malle also discovered Berléands talent and cast him for his two films Goodbye, Children and Milou in May in important supporting roles.
In the 1990s Berléand was mainly seen in TV productions, so in 1995 in the war drama Les Milles - Trapped in the camp of director Sébastien Grall. Since 2000, he is again seen in the theaters and soon became one of the most well-known French actor. In 2002, he was cast in the international co-production The Transporter as an inspector Tarconi. In the sequels Transporter - The Mission ( 2005) and Transporter 3 (2008 ), he was also busy. In 2004 Berléand held his hitherto most film roles. Among other things, he was seen in Alexandra Leclères film debut two very different sisters, and the successful movie The Les Choristes. In 2003 Berléand was nominated for his performance in Mon idole for Best Actor for the César and received in 2005 for The Les Choristes another César nomination, this once as Best Supporting Actor.
Berléand often plays schemers who are socially high and are vain.
