François Picard

François Picard ( born April 26, 1921 in Villefranche -sur -Saône, † April 29, 1996 in Nice ) was a French racing driver.

Picard began in 1949 with a Renault 4CV car to go racing. At the beginning of the 1950s, he replaced the Renault by a Porsche, with whom he won a 1952 sports car race in Agadir. In 1953, Picard was a well-known Ferrari privateer, who drove mainly race in France and North Africa. 1954 was his compatriot Charles Pozzi his partner.
