Frank Crawford Sites

Frank Crawford Sites ( born December 24, 1864 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, † May 23 1935 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1923 and 1925 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

In 1875, Frank moved with his parents sites to Harrisburg, where he attended the public schools. He then completed an apprenticeship as a watchmaker and jeweler. In the following years he worked in these industries. Between 1903 and 1912 he was Chairman of the School Committee of the city of Harrisburg; 1913 to 1922, he served there as a post holder. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party.

In the congressional elections of 1922 Sites in the 19th electoral district of Pennsylvania was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded the Republican John Marshall Rose on March 4, 1923. Since he has not been confirmed in 1924, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1925.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Frank sites returned to Harrisburg, where he worked in the securities business. There he is on 23 May suit in 1935 and died.
