Frank Hübner

Frank Hübner ( born October 16, 1950 in Lüdenscheid ) is a German sailor who was Olympic champion in 1976.

1967 Huebner was German youth champion with the Pirates, 1969, he became Junior Champion with the corsair. In 1971 he occupied at the European Junior Championship in sixth place in the Finn. From 1972, he started with the 470 dinghy. In 1973 he was European Vice-Champion along with his Vorschotmann Klaus Feldmann. In 1974, Feldman was replaced by Harro Bode. Hübner and Bode won bronze at the 1975 European Championship. 1976 at the Olympic Regatta Kingston reached Hübner and Bode three days wins and were Olympic champions.

Hübner and Bode sailed for the Sailing Club Sorpesee - Iserlohn.
