Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ, proper spelling FAZ) is a national German newspaper subscription. The FAZ has the legal form of a GmbH. It is majority owned ( 93.7 %) of the Conclusion Foundation.
The daily circulation of 329 705 copies. The newspaper has the highest circulation of all German newspapers abroad (apart from the tabloids ).

History
The establishment of the FAZ in 1949 goes to a decision of the Economic Policy Society ( Wipog ) back, one founded two years earlier association of entrepreneurs who wanted to see their interests more in public. Founding editor of the FAZ were Hans Baumgarten, Erich Dombrowski, Karl Korn, Paul Sethe and Erich Welter. Some editors of the FAZ worked previously at the 1943 Prohibited Frankfurter Zeitung and the Allgemeine Zeitung Mainz. The first issue of the newspaper was published on November 1, 1949 On the cover of this issue statement, under the heading " newspaper for Germany ". Until 30 September 1950, the FAZ was printed in Mainz. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ( FAS)
The FAS (proper spelling FAS ) is the Sunday newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The Hochschulanzeiger is a magazine that is published by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung six times a year.
