Franzburg Meier (2009)

Career

Franzburg Meier began his career at FC Triesen. In 2000 he moved to FC Vaduz and a year later he made his debut in the Liechtenstein national football team. In the 2006/07 season, the midfielder played for FC Basel in the Super League. His debut in an official match he gave on 13 July 2006 in a 3-1 home win against Tobyl Qostanai in the UEFA Cup 2006/07. In 2008, he was loaned to FC Thun. After he could not prevail in the top Swiss league, he moved to the 2008/09 season to the English Football League Two club Darlington FC. After a season in the fourth-highest English league, he returned to his home and signed a contract with FC Vaduz.
