Franz Neuländtner

Franz Neuländtner (born 29 January 1966 in Höhnhart ) is a former Austrian ski jumper.

Career

His first participation in the Ski Jumping World Cup Franz Neuländtner recorded in 1983, when he came in the Four Hills Tournament at the competitions in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen as initiator of the national group to use. However, the breakthrough in the A-team of the Austrian national Neuländtner succeeded only in December 1984 at the competition in Lake Placid, where he finished 13th in the large hill and thus could retract his first World Cup points. Also in Lake Placid, but on the adjacent normal hill Neuländtner celebrated on 15 December 1985 with the first World Cup victory, was now finally arrived in the world rankings and achieved 2nd place in the overall standings in the subsequent Four Hills Tournament.

In the Ski Flying World Cup 1986 at Kulm in Tauplitz / Bad Mitterndorf was Neuländtner Vice World Champion and had only beaten his compatriot Andreas fields. A year later he won the bronze medal at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in the team competition.

Surprisingly succeeded Franz Neuländtner had until then tough course of the season on 3 March 1990 in Lahti, Finland in the competition on the large hill, his second World Cup victory.

His last competition contested Neuländtner in January 1993 at the ski flying event at Kulm. After Franz Neuländtner was spared during his active career of more serious injuries, came to mean a broken collarbone end of his career.

Including his two victories reached Neuländtner in his playing career 22 top ten finishes in the World Cup.

After the end of his active career Neuländtner Franz learned the trade of Skierzeugers of Fischer Sports GmbH, was henceforth operate as a service man and assisted in this function, among others, Andreas Goldberger and Sven Hanna forest. In the role of ski jumping managers of Fischer Neuländtner is also currently operates.
