Fred Beir

Fred Beir (actually Frederick Edwin Beir, born September 21, 1927 in Niagara Falls, New York, † June 3, 1980 in Hollywood, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Beir received after its 1950 beginnings commenced on television in 1954 his first film role in The Devil's Passage. But he could not succeed as a film actor; with numerous television roles, however, he became a sought-after guest star for many series, where he was primarily seen in adventure, detective and Western episodes. In 1964, he tried, as some American television actors to gain a foothold in the Italian and Spanish genre cinema. After two spaghetti westerns but followed only still a spy movie, so Beir further pursued his television career. He had 1977/1978 in the soap opera Days of Our Lives held the recurring role of " Larry Atwood ".

Beir was 1967-1969 married to his fellow actress Sheila Wells, with whom he had a daughter born in 1969. He died at the age of 52 from cancer.
