Frederick Edward Hulme (* March 1841 in Hanley (Stoke -on-Trent ), † April 10, 1909 in Kew ( London) ) was a British teacher and botanist.

Life

Hulme was born as the son of the artist Frederick William Hulme and his wife Caroline in Hanley. In 1844 the family moved, due to the father's work, to London, where Hulme, Royal College of Art visited. He was a botanist, antique stores and deal with natural history. 1869 Hulme was elected to the Linnean Society of London. In 1886 he became a professor at King's College London and taught drawing there. Hulme died at his home in Kew.
