FrÃas, Santiago del Estero
Frías is the capital of the department Choya in the province of Santiago del Estero in the north-western Argentina. It lies in the southwest of the province near the border with the province of Catamarca on the Río Albigasta. The distance to the provincial capital Santiago del Estero is 148 kilometers above the Ruta Provincial 64 In the classification of municipalities in the province is classified as a community of the 1st category.

The founding date of the city is the 24th September 1874.
