Frida Wallberg

Frida Wallberg ( born April 28, 1983 in Åtvidaberg ) is a Swedish boxer. It was 2001 World Champion of amateur boxers and 2010 Profiboxverbandes WBC.

Career

Amateur

Frida Wallberg, nicknamed the " Golden Girl " began in her hometown Åtvidaberg at the age of 13 years with the boxes. It is thus with Asa Sandell and Anna Laurell one of the pioneers of women's boxing in Sweden. At 15, she was in the 1998 Swedish National Champion Senior at Light Welterweight (then to 63.5 kg of body weight). Throughout her career she was until 2003 then another five times Swedish champion.

In March 1999, her international career began as an amateur boxer. Professional area

Frida Wallberg earned their first professional fight on February 6, 2004 at the Falconer Center in Copenhagen and won there in the super-featherweight about Maribel Santana from the Dominican Republic, forced to retire because of a serious eyebrow injury during the break for the second round. On March 13, 2004, she landed in the Brondby -Hallen in Copenhagen a clear points victory over Wiktoria Oleinik from Ukraine. On April 3, 2004, she won the SAS Radisson in Aarhus / Denmark on the American Sharon Gaines clearly on points.
