Friendship Highway (China-Nepal)

The China - Nepal Highway ( Zhong -Ni Gonglu中 尼 公路), also known as the Friendship Highway is a road link between Lhasa in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China and Sino - Nepal Friendship Bridge at the border with Nepal. There he is connected via the Araniko Highway to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

The Friendship Highway is 829 km long and at the same time the westernmost section of the national road G318; he shall keep Doilungdeqen, Shigatse, Sa'gya, Lhaze and Nyalam. The construction was started in 1963, it was opened to traffic in 1967. Besides the development of Tibet, he serves as a main route to Nepal and the transport of goods to India.
