From A to Z-Z-Z-Z

From A to ZZZZ is an American animated short film directed by Chuck Jones from 1954.

Action

While the class expects eager dreams of little Ralph Phillips in the back pew in front of him. He introduces himself as a bird to fly through the air, but is not addressed by a dove, which turns out to be his teacher and lambasting him not tagzuträumen. Since Ralph pretends to have been awake the whole time he is asked on the board, where it should add up numbers. He dreams to the table where the numbers laugh at him. As he is leaving them the addition line, all the numbers fall over each other to grab at him and be defeated by Ralph.

The teacher recognizes that Ralph needs a break and sends him with a letter to the next letter box. The short distance is coming back and in Ralph's imagination to create an exciting ride through the Wild West, in which he pursued by Indians comes in a fort, giving up the letter, is shot on the return ride and therefore " seriously wounded " in the classroom theatrically before the teacher " collapses ". In the ensuing geography lesson, Ralph bored soon and dreams himself as an intrepid divers into the sea, where he not only killed a dangerous giant fish, but also a sunken submarine of the U.S. Navy stands alone with muscle strength. The Krakenarm which it draws him, again is the teacher who puts him in the corner of his reverie as a punishment. Ralph turn now imagines himself as a boxer who can defeat a much larger opponent easily. The recess bell sounds - in a boxing match like in school. Ralph is allowed to go and preach now as Douglas MacArthur that he would come back.

Production

From A to ZZZZ came on October 16, 1954 as part of the Warner Bros. cartoon series Looney Tunes in the cinemas. Two more cartoons with Ralph Phillips as a central figure: Boyhood Daze (1957) and Adventures of the Road - Runner ( 1962).
