The Fronalpstock (SZ ) above Lake Lucerne

The Fronalpstock is a 1,922 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the canton of Schwyz on Morsch Acher municipality. The western slope of the Fronalpstock ends on Lake Lucerne ( Uri ). Along this slope runs a part of the " path of Switzerland " and near the shore the Axenstrasse. The rail link Arth -Goldau - Erstfeld also meanders through many tunnels through the rock of the Fronalpstock.

A mountain of the same name are in the neighboring canton Glarus.

Tourism

The Fronalpstock is visited often over the lake because of his views. He has opened up the car-free village of Stoos from. In the summer of Fronalpstock is a hiking and biking area and in winter a ski resort with a funicular, a cable car, three chairlifts and five ski lifts.
